What Is The Law Of Attraction?

Well, according to Wikipedia, “In the New Thought philosophy, the Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life.

Basically, the Law of Attraction is,  the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on, whether that be for good or bad. It is the idea that all thoughts are energy that emits vibrations into the universe attracting similar vibrations.

And what this means is that if we are mainly focusing on positive things then we will attract more positive things into our life. An example of this could be when we have a really great day everything seems to work out in our favour. We feel on top of the world and nothing can bring us down.

Unfortunately, this also works with negative thoughts. Ever have a day where it seemed everything went wrong all day long? I did and as I think back to what I was thinking about, it was on the bad stuff that was happening, complaining about it, telling others about it. Then what happened? You guessed it, more bad stuff.

Without even realizing we are actually experiencing “The Law of Attraction” at work and we are not even aware of it.

It is a Law of the Universe and as such it will attract whatever we focus on, even if we are unaware we are focusing on it.

Where Did It Originate?

It is commonly thought that the Law of Attraction was taught by Buddha hundreds of years ago.

It is believed that Buddha wanted it to be known that “what you have become is what you have thought“. This is a belief that coincides deeply with the Law of Attraction.

In western society, we tend to refer to a force called “Karma“. Believing that what we put out to the world will come back to us.

Even the Bible made reference to “The Law of Attraction” in Proverbs 23:7, it reads:

As a man thinketh in his heart so is he

or in Mathew 7:7-8:

Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened unto him.

Seems pretty clear to me that throughout the ages the principle of The Law of Attraction has been accepted, used and taught in many different forms and languages.

Did you know that every person that has a business believes in the word of the bible? Ask any business person you see.

Everyday Examples of The Law of Attraction

There are countless ways in which the Law of Attraction is evident in everyday life. I am sure most of us have seen these examples countless times on any given day but we must remind ourselves these situations are actually the Law of Attraction at work all around us, every day.

Everyday Examples:

  • Did you ever buy a new car then suddenly see that type of car everywhere?
  • How about naming your newborn then suddenly everyone is choosing the same name?
  • Ever learn a new word then suddenly hear it or see it everywhere?
  • Think about someone you know then run into them in the store or gas station?
  • Think about an old friend then they randomly call or text you?
  • Be talking about someone and they just show up?
  • Hear a song in your mind a few moments before that same song comes on the radio?
  • Do you have a friend who seems to have all the luck?
  • A certain friend who is always broke or sick(nothing ever goes right)?
  • Things that ALWAYS happen (the vehicle needs gas every time it’s my turn to drive it)
  • Things that never happen(never win the Lottery)
  • Seeing a certain time on the clock (for me it is 5:55 almost every day twice a day)
  • Great days where everything just works out perfectly
  • Horrible days where you think you should have just stayed in bed because things went so wrong

Take the time to notice other situations where you can identify the Law of Attraction at work. It is always working, every day, everywhere. Noticing the evidence all around will help solidify your faith that you really can attract what you really want with a positive attitude and clear desires outwardly expressed.

How Do I Put The Law Of Attraction To Work For Me?

Your life truly is a blank canvas. You are the only one who gets to choose what that picture looks like.

Many of us believe ” I will believe it when I see it” which totally goes against the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction works on the principle that “I will see it when I believe It”.

Having the correct mindset and focus is key to manifesting what you want with the Law of Attraction.

Take a moment and just think about what your “ideal” life would look like.

It doesn’t matter if your life currently doesn’t look like that.

The key here is to decide just exactly what you really want.

Be clear. Don’t just say “I want to be wealthy“. Define wealth to yourself. How wealthy do you want to be?

How much money, how many homes and where do you want to live, what kind of car, what colour, if you want to travel then where and for how long?

The point is really to define what it is you want.

Once you have defined what you want – focus on it. No, really envision it in your mind’s eye, come up with a plan on how to get it and don’t stop thinking about it, talking about it, believing in it, and working towards it until it becomes your reality.

Yes, it really is that simple. And it works every single time.

Like all laws of nature, it is simple yet effective. It is constant, through the ages, a steady force always there to use.

It is up to each and every one of us whether that force works for us or against us. It is our thoughts that determine the outcome.

According to the Law of Attraction, our mind is the most powerful tool we have. It is up to each of us to ensure our mind is consistently working towards our deepest desires.

What Areas Of My Life Would Benefit?

The Law of Attraction can be used in virtually any area of your life.

It is very popular to use the Law of Attraction to attract “the love of your life” or to create more love in an existing relationship.
There are several ‘Law Of Attraction’ techniques that can help you increase your confidence, charisma and overall subconscious willingness to receive love.

Another very popular use of the Law of Attraction is to accumulate wealth. For many of us, there seems to an unfavourable view of wealth which of course would prevent us from becoming wealthy. Being wealthy does not equate to being greedy or selfish. Money or wealth can be used for good in service to others for the betterment of mankind. It is a personal choice of each of us to use wealth for good or evil.

It is important to remember that positivity breeds positivity.

Implementing the techniques of the “Law of Attraction” is a great way to train the brain to think positively.

By taking the time to train our brain to see the positive in everything, we open ourselves up for mental and spiritual growth as well as happiness which will go a long way to improving our physical health.

All aspects of our lives are so tightly intertwined that the Law of Attraction can be used to improve all areas of our lives.

Maintaining a positive attitude is key.
